BIOGRAPHY

She studied visual arts at the University of Fine Arts in São Paulo and cinematography at the International Academy of Cinema. Since 2015, she attends the seminars of the artist Carlos Fajardo, in addition to having studied contemporary art with art critic Tiago Mesquita. Her main field of research is oil painting, with productions in various scales and formats. It has a strong influence of poetry and literature and have social and gender issues in the bottom of it. It can be aggressive and humorous, which gives it a combative character.

Camile is part of Casa 70 Lisboa collective exhibition 'Somos da Casa', opening in May of 2019. She had an exhibition at Mendes Wood DM along with artists Gokula Stoffel and Thomaz Rosa called 'February' in 2019. The artist had her first solo show entitled 'Serpent Panther and Other Amulets', curated by Bruno Dunley and Ana Prata at Galeria Mercedes Viegas, in Rio de Janeiro, in April of 2018. She was a resident at the Institut für Alles Mögliche in June 2016 in Berlin, where she performed an individual pop-up and has already shown works in collective exhibitions alongside artists such as Robert Kelly, Vânia Mignone and Anna Maria Maiolino.
